Anybody who honestly examines the state can easily determine its monetary costs…
(debts, inflation, taxes, regulations) literally the costs we see and hear about everyday… well, at least those who are paying attention.
Money that most educated people know will be going to political pork barrel projects and to oligopolize businesses through regulations that are sold to naive people as “regulations that are for the people!” lol
of course, once again, an educated and rational individual understands the regulations are not there to help them.
The taxes don’t go to efficient activities, but instead to those who are politically connected
Lobbying is really bribery that we all have to pay for at threat of kidnapping and imprisonment.
debts that exceed fallacious and artificially propped up gdp numbers
the dollar continuing to lose it’s value
All of these are real costs on us that we can literally see up front.
Not that most people do see this, but that if you examine the state with any real scrutiny, it’s not hard to find. As I said before, any educated and intellectually honest individual can easily see these harmful costs that the state and its central planners impose on us against our will.
but, is there another side to government costs?
no, I’m not talking about benefits. A violent monopoly that could careless what you think has no incentive to bring you any real benefits, just bribes to keep the scam going…. so of course I am not talking about benefits of the state. Any benefits received by the state are grossly inefficient and will never come close to outweighing the costs.
I’m talking about costs that even most thinkers and well educated individuals often miss.
So what is the “other side of government costs?”
The next time you happen to watch a political event. Just look around for a second. Do you see all those people?
What are they doing?
Are they at home spending time with their kids? No, they feel they have to protest against the state to keep a piece of decency in them.
Are they at work producing more for themselves, their families, and consequentally society? No, they believe they have to spend time defending their freedom or at least political ideals from another group of oppressors, although they are not brave enough to admit this truth to themselves. That the reason they go to political events is not to have fun, but to really defend themselves from “the other party” or, really, the state in general.
Sure, they might have fun while at the events, but they are really there so they can stop the oppression they feel is being imposed on them, whether red or blue matters little, they feel oppressed and believe they must use their valuable time to fight the system in some form or another.
What about all the political signs and balloons and red mats and campaign donations…. this isn’t going to anything truly productive. It is going to a bunch of people who are promising to use violence on others. To people who promise to plunder from one group, to give to another….
All of those resources could have gone to cancer research or to building more jobs, or to charities that can actually do something about poverty, unlike the state which creates more poverty.
but instead people put faith in central planners and the resources are wasted. Like an out of control college student in Vegas, the credit card will always hit the limit.
What about the innovations that the government regulations have destroyed, innovations that could have improved those in poverty the most, innovations that we will never see, or are at least delayed for years if not centuries, if not thousands of years… the fact that had people understood this information we could have had flying cars thousands of years ago.
The higher prices, not from greedy business men in an open and free market, but from taxes and protectionist efforts through lobbying? How often do we hear that businesses are just greedy, while ignoring the fact that the state usually makes more money than the business in almost every transaction.
If profit is 5% in a market, and sales tax is 7%, the state literally takes in more profit than the business… not to be spent efficiently, but to go down government’s monetary blackhole. A waste of all the labor generations before us built. A misallocation of resources.
What about all of the lives lost due to government? The millions of dead innocent children, not only through drone bombs and bullets, but also through starvation by government economic sanctions.
Those parents will never see those children again, how do you even put a cost on that?
What about the mind rot caused by politicians, a bunch of unethical verbal contortionists that have brainwashed your brother or friend or daughter or neighbor or dad or co=workers or grandma’s mind? All the lies have people so muddled, they have been blinded from the reality and trapped into this little fantasy land that is really nothing more than organized terrorism. I would take $100 trillion in debt slavery just to have my peer’s mind’s back. A gagillion dollars… the relationships that statism steals from us through 12 years of revisionist and mind numbing public edumacation brainwashing. The minds so weak, the politicians and lobbyists basically have our loved ones eating out of their hands. That is all these conmen need to succeed, your dependency on their slave system.
…and all so a bunch of power thirsty control freak narcissists can try to gain power over others through an unneeded, violent and forced hierarchial system….
While most people only see the tangible monetary and regulatory costs of the state’s inefficient and violent central planning, the unseen costs go unnoticed.
Most people are willing to accept the gross inefficiencies and lies of politicians because they only see a small percentage of the real costs of the state.
Once you see the true costs of the state, not just the taxes and regulations and debts, and inflationary pressures,… but also the unseen costs, the resources wasted on signs and balloons and flags… and the deaths, the time and voluntary resources wasted, the brainwashing and lies, the busted relationships that might have worked out in a free society,… you realize that the mainstream has only really been focusing on the minute costs, the tangible costs that can easily be seen monetarily,… while distracting you away from the real heavy costs, the often unseen costs,…
the tremendous costs that can never be quantified…
